| Welcome to the Pictou Soccer Club. For more than 29 years it has been our responsibility to provide the youth of Pictou, and surrounding area, with access to a quality soccer program. Pictou Soccer has committed itself to the fundamental principles of involvement and enjoyment for the children that we serve. Pictou Soccer is dedicated to providing the very best quality and opportunity for players to participate in this great sport. We have created many opportunities for you to register your children, and ask for your support in finding the dates that work best for you. Also be aware that we provide a CONFIDENTIAL registration avenue for any family that may require assistance. EVERY CHILD SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS RECREATIONAL AND SOCIAL ACTIVITY!
Pictou Soccer Club has a multi- part structure to it. First of all we operate a recreational House League format that provides the opportunity for every player to participate in the game of soccer, in a fun and relaxing atmosphere, and is open to all players from ages 5 – 18 years. This format is the heart of our soccer program, introducing the game to players and insuring that everyone gets the opportunity to participate. We try diligently to provide this recreational opportunity, in a fun, engaging and inviting manner to all players. Playing should be FUN!
Secondly we have our summer Tier II and Mini Play. Tier II is a competitive team format that plays within the Highland District Soccer League, (HDSL), providing male and female teams from U12 – U18 ages, with league play, and tournament participation, along with the opportunity to challenge in the NS Provincial Play offs within their respective age groups and classifications. A higher level of competition and development, along with a greater level of commitment from players and their parents is requires for this aspect. We also offer U10 Summer Soccer in Boys and Girls teams, which play within a HDSL structure as well. Lastly we offer U8 Boys and Girls teams the opportunity to participate in a Pictou County Summer Mini Soccer League. This provides a great opportunity for younger players experience the game of soccer in a slightly more competitive manner while still maintaining the focus on fun, learning and involvement with this great sport.
Pictou Soccer Club also in very much involved with the Winter Soccer Program throughout the winter months at the Sobey’s Complex in Stellarton. These programs are also open to players of all ages through our club.
Pictou Soccer Club is about providing the best opportunities for the youth of our area to participate in this wonderful sport and recreational activity. A volunteer Executive works diligently and tirelessly at creating the best possible program in every facet of participation. We believe that participation should be a fun and enjoyable experience for players. We, and all of the volunteers, hope that everyone continues to aide us in continually providing the very best soccer experience for your children. After all, that is why this program exists.
